Existing regulations governing the classification and distribution of sex-related material were stringent and there was no need for the government’s proposed amendments to the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance, more than 10 organisations representing independent news media, rights advocacy groups and sex workers told the government yesterday.
